EMKA hinges - now with captive hinge pins

Company Profile

Engineers who go onsite or complete final assembly of panels with removable doors will be familiar with the problems of occasionally losing a hinge pin. Courtesy of the careful engineers at EMKA this can now be all in the past – their new 1031 program of hinges have self-retaining pins while allowing doors, signs, inspection panels etc to be conveniently removed/replaced.

The 1031 series presently comes in two 90mm types – for 25mm and 16mm door returns allowing up to 125° door opening. Both share the same captive pin mechanism which permits withdrawal from the door mounted part – this is also found to greatly ease alignment on re-assembly. Variants of these 1031 hinges are available in either zinc plated steel or AISI 304 stainless steel. Further information on EMKA products and services may be found at: www.emka.co.uk, where it is also possible to download any part or the entire EMKA product catalogue.
