Whether it’s our weather or our history, UK industry is particularly demanding, especially when it comes to cabinet sealing. Consequently we are not surprised to find EMKA (UK) launching a full range of compression latches designed especially to enhance gasket compression with a soft landing clamp action, so ensuring longevity of the seal and equipment. These are especially useful in situations where equipment vibration may affect the integrity of normal ¼ turn systems, e.g. on vehicles, gensets or mobile mounted controls.
Compression latches are typically used in air conditioning, accoustic cabinets or indeed any industry using the popular folded or rolled flanged pentapost frame construction. In particular the straight pull down action gives a greater sealing effect with a more gentle operation than the ramp design of normal ¼ turn cams - thus also reducing damage to panels and gaskets.
EMKA compression latches come in ¼ turn and swinghandle configurations as well as an adjustable shaft version for fine control of tab setting.
