Unusual IP65 locking system from EMKA protects lock

31 January 2008 13:57 Company Profile

The 1225 program from EMKA is an innovative IP65 locking system covering the full spectrum of short and long escutcheon types with insert locks and swing handles for profile cylinders or inserts. Type 1225 series is a large-scale handle system for all free-standing cabinets or for access doors in equipment such as HVAC.

An unusual sliding style dust cover is featured for swing handle variants to give additional protection for the lock. In the same uniform design style (using a common 2 off 50mm x 25mm hole mounting), there are many possibilities for insert locks (square, triangular, hexagon, double-bit etc), and for conventional L handles, T handles and wing nuts. These are readily mounted on 1225 style escutcheons and may be used even on smaller wall mounted cabinets.

All swing handles and escutcheons can be assembled with rod controls for multi-point closure or bearing bush for single point operation. The narrow (35mm) width of these units gives the added benefit of location, either within the gasketed area or external to the gasket. In either case, good sealing and maximum door equipment mounting is preserved.
