API Precision Toolmakers was founded in 1989. Based in West Sussex, the company’s vision was to create a tool making facility capable of catering for a wide range of manufacturers and Industries, such as the Automotive, Electronic, IT, Commercial and Watch Industry.

With over 20 years of experience we have established a reputation for reliability, quality and professionalism; working in unison with our customers to produce precision tooling to whatever their requirements are.

API have the capacity to manufacture mould and press tools to close tolerances and in fact specialise in the supply of moulds for the manufacture of precision quality parts. For the trial of tools API have their own moulding facilities which enables them to submit samples for customer approval.

With CAD/CAM software , Solidworks 2009 and NC Graphics Machining Strategist, we are able to create tooling from data received via email in any Industry Standard format.

We are able to produce plastic and die cast mould tools up to 400 mm sq working to a tolerance of + , - .005mm and press tools to a maximum die set size of 600x400.
