Foundry Fabrications was first established in 1962 as an Aluminium Alloy Casting Foundry. Over the years Foundry & Fabrication has evolved under the stewardship of three generations of the same Family and is now the biggest foundry in the South West of England.
The company has always focused on customer service and the quality of the Aluminium Castings that it produces, whether they are produced as a sand casting using airset moulding or by greensand machine moulding or by the aluminium die casting technique.

As well as aluminium castings, bronze castings and other non ferrous metal alloy castings and CNC Turning and Milling capabilities, we offer services such as; Heat Treatment, Shot/Bead Blasting, Powder/Wet Coating, Electro Plating and Anodising.

Products and Services

Foundry & fabrication's principal activity is that of an aluminium alloy casting foundry. We use three methods of casting; two sand casting techniques namely airset moulding and greensand moulding. Our third method of casting is aluminium die casting. The aluminium and other non ferrous metal alloys used most commonly are detailed below:

LM4, LM6, LM25, LG2, LG4, PB1, PB2, AB1, AB2

In addition to this list the company does acquire zinc and copper based alloys.

As you expect from a company who focuses on quality and which is accredited to ISO9000(2000), for further details of which please visit our quality page, all our material ingot suppliers have to meet strict standards. In fact all the material procured, whether it is purchased for an aluminium casting uk or a bronze casting, is to British Standards and is in ingot form. The level of traceability required is dictated by our customers and as such, we can accommodate whatever our customer requirements are. As a company, Foundry and Fabrication offer full melt code traceability free of charge on all batches to all of our customers if required.

Foundry and Fabrication are pleased to offer free advice on which aluminium or other non ferrous alloy would be most suited to your requirements at the design stage or to assist in any troubleshooting that may arise.

Plant and Equipment

Aluminium Die Casting Plant UK:
Gravity Die Casting Shop, capable of casting a few grams up to 40Kg in aluminium or zinc alloy. Capacity: 1000's per day.
Daily throughput of Aluminium up to 6 tonnes per day.

Sand Foundry Plant:
The greensand line is capable of producing up to 120 multi-impression molds per day to a maximum weight of 15kgs.
2 off carousel moulding lines with a throughput of approximately 120 mould per day to a maximum weight of 25kgs.

Airset shop using synthetic sand process with a computer controlled sand management system, from 1 off mould to 80 a day dependant on size. The department can cast individual casts to a maximum weight of 250Kgs in Aluminium, gun Metal/Aluminium Bronze approximately 60kgs.
