Architectural Steelwork
Architectural steelwork (Swe: byggsmide) is a category for workshops that specializes in sheet metal work of large pieces, for example manufacturing and machining of girders which are to be used in constructions.
The architectural steelwork handles such large dimensions that are rare in other parts of the manufacturing industry. Some pieces, such as beams, can be enourmous but still needs to cut with high precision. Sometimes smaller pieces are welded together and then a complete piece can be delivered to construction sites, such as entrances or balconies.
The most frequently used processes within the architectural steelwork category are welding, cutting and bending.
