Special Purpose Machines (swe: maskintillverkning) is a complete delivery of industrial machines.
The supplier offers a total solution to deliver industrial machinery. It is common that the customer specifies what capabilities the machine needs to have and then the supplier engineers a machine to meet those requirements. Most machines contains machined and fabricated parts, electronics, and glass, rubber and plastic components. The supplier also assembles the machine.
The exact process of making special purpose machines is different in every case, and supplier has to work closely with its customer. Special purpose machines are manufactured by workshops with special skills, but they usually do regular manufacturing as well.

Description: Complete manufacture of a corrugation machine. Will be used to corrugate stainless steel ribbon,10mm wide.
The part is called an Element and is incorporated in some of our equipment. I attach a photo so that you can visualize the part. The element can be described as two pieces of stainless steel ribbon (one corrugated and the other flat) one lying on top of the other, and wound into a spiral or spool. In the photo you’ll see the corrugated ribbon closest to you and the un-corrugated ribbon is on the periphery of the spool. The ribbon is 316 Stainless steel 10 mm wide. This will give you an indication of the size of the corrugation.
The corrugation is usually made by passing the ribbon through a pair of intermeshing cog teeth. The corrugation could be across the ribbon at 90 Deg to the edge (like the photo) or at an angle, possibly 60 Deg.
