New CIPS president: ‘I want to do what’s right for the procurement profession’

Giving his first public address as president, Richard Masser has announced he wants to “put procurement at the heart of business” and that this is achievable if procurement professionals demonstrated the value they added to organisations.

Masser stressed the importance of following on with the past theme of “raise your game, raise your voice”, and believes that one of the ways to do this is to raise the profile of procurement so that is seen by the public as a “true profession”.
