Tool Making

Toolmaking covers the manufacture of tools used within processes such as presswork (press tools), injection moulding (mould tools) and casting (patterns). 

Just under a quarter of our toolmaking projects come from the industrial machinery sector (23%), whilst the automotive industry represents 10% of such enquiries, making it the second largest purchaser of tools. The oil/chemical/energy sector comprises 7% of these results, closely followed by aerospace at 6%. Finally, consumer products and the medical/scientific industries each outsourced 5% of the total toolmaking projects generated for our members.
