Industry Forum has launched an online shop giving easy access to English language versions of all automotive standards in one place.

Industry Forum was set up by the UK government, the SMMT Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and vehicle manufacturers to improve the competitiveness of the UK’s automotive supply chain.

The shop stocks all the published standards from the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and the US-based Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), as well as a selection of their publications that have been hand-picked to support training and professional development – all at highly competitive prices. Industry Forum is one of only two organisations in the UK to sell AIAG publications and the only one to offer all three industry bodies' publications.

Dr Chris Owen, chief executive of SMMT Industry Forum, said, "Our aim is to improve the performance of automotive manufacturers, and extended learning is crucial to that. That's why we've decided to grow our offering by making these valuable publications available and affordable via an easy to use web shop. We also support our delegates to apply the learning and theory within their organisations on an ongoing basis." SMMT Industry Forum offers a further 10% discount on reference materials when purchased alongside its courses.

Publications purchased in the Industry Forum shop can be shipped to anywhere in the world.

As a result of the launch of the new shop, SMMT will no longer sell publications via its own website.
