As the name suggests all we do is focus on Purchasing and Supply chain vacancies, specialising in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, for all levels of staff from Purchasing Administrators to Purchasing & Procurement Directors level and all areas in between including Materials Managers, Logistics Managers, Operations/ Facilities Managers and obviously Buyers & Senior Buyers. The vast bulk of our clients only use us when recruiting staff in these areas and this client loyalty has been the direct result of delivering a service that our client expects which not only means delivering the right candidate and filling the jobs but also our methods and professionalism.
In terms of our method, we find that our policy of working with clients on a project basis where no conflict of interest exist is much appreciated and is a major reason for our success with the clients we do work with. What we mean by this is that unlike many agencies we don t simply pick up as many vacancies from as many clients as possible, throw a high volume of CV s across and move on to the next one with little or no thought into the process. We plan our workload carefully, and at any one time will be working on a manageable number of clients and vacancies, often just 4 or 5 at a time meaning we are able to spend the required amount of time in finding the right candidate(s) for the roles which will often involve speaking to people who aren t necessarily actively looking for work.
When clients give a requirement to Purchasing Futures a consultant will work exclusively on that requirement exclusively until it is filled and we judge our own success on fulfillment rate and we are confident that we are streets ahead of most agencies in terms of our dedication and persistence in providing a good service and filling your vacancies with the minimum of fuss.
There are no major differences in terms of the primary reactive candidate generation tools we use when compared with other agencies regarding advertising, job boards etc. Where we are different however is the amount of proactive work we do in finding suitable candidates who aren t responding to ads or actively looking as we find that often the best candidates are those who are referred to us, direct approaches, and simply knowledge of our market and where to find the candidates.
