Drone deliveries ‘unlikely to take off’

Although drones were seen by some as a potential strong link in their supply chain, it is now thought that increased regulation on airspace will result in the mode failing to take off.

Britvic targets supply chain efficiencies

There is no doubt over the importance of supply chain efficiencies when it comes to profitable growth opportunities, and Britvic is now the latest manufacturer to focus on investment in this area.

In 2016 Britvic will invest around £70-£80m in its UK supply chain to generate an annual cash return of 15% on an on-going basis. The investment is set to provide extra capacity in areas which have been targeted for growth, as well as the ability to deliver cost savings.
