Trends for the supply chain in 2016

With complex global markets, labour issues and constant economic fluctuations, supply chain leaders are being faced with a future of uncertainty. Here are this year’s trends that could be set to help leaders find a resolution.

One of the biggest trends focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT), with Business Insider reporting that 82% of businesses are planning to implement IoT solutions by 2017. Morrisons currently only holds 3% of the market, so the new deal will ultimately create a new channel for its food manufacturing business while essentially becoming a food wholesaler to Amazon.
