Ultrasonic cleaning is used to thoroughly clean components of contaminants. The components are submerged in water and/or solvent, which is then agitated through the application of ultrasound. The agitated water/solvent then removes any pollutants, such as oil or grease, from the surface of the components.
Ultrasonic cleaning can be used on most materials; however, soft metals may not be suitable. It is an effective method of cleaning parts without any damage; moreover, it is also cost-effective compared to other cleaning techniques.
