Aldridge Brothers are steel fabricators, engineers and sheet metal workers located in Altrincham, Cheshire.
As a family business, Aldridge Brothers have run the engineering company for over 40 years and have a reputation for providing an economical and efficient sub-contracting service for manufacturers who require high quality. Aldridge Brothers have been accredited to ISO 9001 since 1997.
The company has wide experience in manufacturing quality fabrication and sheet metal work of either standard or innovative design, and will advise on design features necessary to ensure minimum production costs.
Aldridge Brothers typically undertake a mix of one-off and batch production work, and are often required to use their experience to manufacture prototype products which may require confidentially and close customer liaison. Successful prototypes are subsequently manufactured as production runs.

Aldridge Brothers provide a complete solution to your sheet metalwork requirements. We can assist in the design of components, then take your concept through from prototyping, development and initial production to final delivered quantity.
Aldridge Brothers work in partnership with all their customers to ensure their requirements are met within their budget. Our aim is to create solutions to their sheet metal problems.
We use CAD/CAM and CNC cutting on laser and plasma flatbeds to produce accurate blanks. Our multi axis pressbrakes are capable of forming complex, tight limit components. Assembly and welding is carried out to a high standard.
If you require fully finished items, we will powder coat, assemble and deliver as required.
Steel fabrications up to 5 tonne are fabricated and assembled on machined T slot bedplates. Safety critical items such as lifting columns and decklock assemblies are frequently manufactured. Straightness tolerances are maintained by jigging and pre bending components prior to welding.
Fabrications are often zinc plated, powder coated and then fitted with hydraulics for delivery to the customer site as a complete unit, ready for installation.
Our maximum single lift is 10 tonne.
CNC cutting is performed with laser or on our 40KVA Komatsu high definition plasma. Folding is carried out on two Bystronic 3metre x 150 tonne 7 axis CNC pressbrakes. We have a 2500mm x 6mm guillotine, radial arm drill, pillar drills, rolls and cold saws. Punching and forming can be also processed on our 70 tonne deep throat steelworker.
We process mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. MIG and TIG welding is carried out to BS EN 287 and 288 and ASME IX.
Most components can have any welds finished by hand prior to powder coating, if required. Complete assemblies of finished components can be supplied and delivered. We regularly ship components to Europe.
Precision Plasma and Laser Cutting
Prototype parts and small batches of components can be economically and quickly cut on our 40KVA Komatsu high definition plasma. Large volumes and hole intensive panels are laser cut. Maximum sheet size is 3m x 1.5m, material thickness 0.8mm to 20mm. Materials cut are mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
The high accuracy and excellent cut quality we achieve results in a high quality finished product.
We operate two Bystronic 3 metre x 150 tonne 7axis CNC pressbrakes.
They are equipped with pressure reference systems to guarantee consistent bending accuracy, from the first component. Hydraulic crowning gives a consistent angle along the length of components.Complex sections, edge and flattening and radius bends can be easily manufactured as we have an extensive range of tooling.
Low quantity and small batch work can be economically produced.
Fabrications are usually MIG or TIG welded after cutting and forming. Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium from 0.8mm to 20mm thickness are welded to high standards. Our weld procedures meet BS EN 287 and 288 and ASME IX. Post welding NDT can be carried out if required.
All production processes are monitored in accordance with our ISO 9001 accredited system.

The design stage of a fabrication is critical in ensuring that an economical product can be manufactured. We are often requested to advise on new products at the design and development stage. We can then produce prototypes usually without incurring tooling costs, and ensure the best possible feature / price ratio. Close customer liaison and confidentially are assured.
Manufacturing systems are accredited by NQA to ISO 9001 2008 certificate no. 9262. All aspects of company performance are monitored regularly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
