F.G.L. Precision Limited

F.G.L. Precision Ltd was established in 1966 as Fine Gears Ltd, and set up originally as a company focused on the supply of machined gears for a wide range of industries from aeronautics and energy to medical. 

Owned by the Colliver family since the early 1970’s, F.G.L Precision is now an engineering firm with our workforce experience totalling just over a quarter of a century. It specializes in the manufacture and assembly of precision-machined components to the quality and traceability standards required by its clients. These clients include both domestic and multi-national organizations. Past and present customers include: Honeywell Aerospace, Middlesex Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, SMA (UK) Ltd, J+S Ltd, Sperry Marine, Litton Marine, Messier Dowty, Bosch and GDS Instruments. 

The F.G.L Precision workforce is trained to stringent quality standards, which has enabled the company to achieve a high level of client satisfaction, and repeat business from a core group of substantial companies. F.G.L Precision has also established excellent, long-term working relationships with other leading specialist firms that provide various plating and treatment services for its products.

F.G.L Precision is committed to the establishment and maintenance of high standards of production quality and workplace safety. The Board of Directors fully endorses and authorises the Quality Policy, which is reviewed annually with the company management team and updated as necessary.  All employees are responsible for their own and their colleagues’ safety and are expected to maintain safe working conditions, reporting any non-compliance immediately.

Our quality management system is accredited to the following internationally recognised standards;

• ISO 9001: BSI certificate No FM 31327
• AS 9100: Quality management system requirements for aviation, space and defence organisations, BSI certificate No FM 31327
• ISO/IEC 8007-34: Quality management system requirements to manufacture equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, Notification No DEKRA 14ATEXQ0004.
