Aluminium Die and Sand casting
Longton Light Alloys is one of the few foundries in the UK equipped to produce Aluminium castings of up to 2.0 tonnes in weight.

We specialise in large tooling applications for the automotive, aerospace and leisure industries , and have developed the casting in of stainless steel tubing which provides a very effective method of introducing heating or cooling elements to the tool during use.

Longton Light Alloys can also offer a Gravity die casting service . Employing the state of the art automatic control electric furnaces which ensure high quality control over metal melting.

Gravity die castings gives us the opportunity to offer our customers the ability to move to larger volumes of casting production utilising permanent moulds to ensure tighter control of dimensional accuracy and quality.

Die casting can offer a extremely economical method of producing large volumes of castings and with our extensive knowledge of this process we can offer you the best solution for your particular application.

Large-scale bespoke one-off projects, such as sculptures can easily be accommodated within our large facilities.

Copper casting
Longton Light Alloys produce Copper based Alloy castings to British , European and American standards We can also work within duel certification standards where applied.

We have the capacity to cast up to 750 kilos in most of the Copper baseed alloys and specialise in castings for the oil, gas and water industry such as Valve and pump bodies.

We also supply Copper based castings to a wide spectrum of Industry and have carried out some prestigious Architectural projects for major clients carrying out restoration work.

Zinc casting
Longton Light Alloys also cast in a wide variety of Zinc Based Alloy Castings up to 5 tonnes.

This is mainly used for prototyping and short run panels for such items as car bodies and also has applications for the Marine Industry for such items as Sacrificial Anodes for ships hulls.

Zinc based alloys also have applications where excellent bearing and wear properties etc are required and is extensively used in hazardous area application such as the Mining Industry due to its no sparking properties.

Machining and Other Services
We can offer to you a most comprehensive service for the supply of your castings including :
