The origins of Prenco date back to 1975 when the company was established in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, Ireland as part of a parent company, the German multinational Deutsche Star and related to the famous Sachs Company. We started life in Skibbereen known as the “Star Ball Retainer Company” and subsequently changed to “Starball Linear Systems Ltd”. Over the years our former parent Company (Deutsche Star) also changed ownership to Mannesmann Rexroth and then to Bosch Rexroth.

In 2004, a management buyout separated us from Bosch Rexroth and we became Prenco, a private, independent, Irish-owned Company. Prenco has a long-standing and stable workforce with many years’ experience in precision turning, milling, pressing and assembly.

Our current product portfolio involves a wide range of precision components and full ball transfer units, traditionally used in the linear motion industry and anywhere where material must be moved. We will be happy to quote for any requirements you may have.

Prenco is certified to the Quality Management Standard ISO 9001:2008 and to the Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001:2004.

We are also trained by Bosch Rexroth as part of their Supplier Development Programme in the operation of a LEAN Management Programme.
