New year, new brand: Serious Engineering rebrands to RM Manufacturing
Serious Engineering (also still referred to by some customers as ROMEC) will rebrand to RM Manufacturing from February 2018.
Serious engineering continues to invest in the future
Serious Engineering are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer Vibratory deburing as a core finishing capability.
Due to demand from our customers for this process we decided the time was right to invest in equipment which would enhance our current capabilities. This process is suitable for Aluminium, mild steel & stainless steel. Essentially the parts are placed in a tumbling medium within a vibrating bowl which removes all sharp edges and burrs etc. This gives the products a very smooth finish.
Investing for the future
Serious Engineering is enhancing it's capabilities by adding greater lifting capabilities and coded welding to it's core skills.
Our new cranes will allow us to look at heavier fabrications in more demanding markets,
By adding coded welding to our capabilities we can now service performance critical markets such as Oil & Gas and Energy markets.
We welcome enquiries from everyone who has a requirement for quality fabrications for performance critical applications.

Serious Engineering - Where absolute reliability is the rule. NOT the exception
Serious Engineering – where absolute reliability is the rule. not the exception.
Our company reputation was established by James Watt in the 18th Century – and we’ve been living up to those expectations ever since.
This established pedigree, plus our pro-active thinking, not only allow us to hold an incredibly solid position in today’s demanding industry; they also form the basis of our fundamental ethos - why meet established standards, when we can push beyond them?
Southern Manufacturing 2013

Suppliers and Subcontractors - How do you choose?
Suppliers and subcontractors are a little risk for any business - that's why we keep as many aspects of all jobs in-house. It means that we can monitor standards from the very start and maintain them through to a perfect finish.
These self imposed standards - which sit well above the norm by the way - mean that we don't just use any old supplier or subcontractor. We're very choosy.
As with everything, when you ask someone else to represent your brand, you've got to be 100% certain they're going to do it with the same degree of passion as you do.
Boundries are for pushing.....
There is an expectation within the engineering industry that things may go wrong, mistakes may occur, apologies will be made and the customer's business will experience 'down time' whislt projects go beyond scope.
Seriously?
We use words such as 'Precision' ... and mean it.
We use words such as 'Promise'... and mean it.
We use the word 'Reliable'... and mean it.
Being better is not hard.
The hard bit is understanding that no business should be restricted by the boundries set down by the industry in which it operates.
Serious Engineering heads for SUBCON 2012
In June 2012, Subcon will be taking over the NEC in Birmingham.
And Serious Engineering will be there doing what we do best - standing out.
And since our slogan is 'Where absolute reliability is the rule, not the exception' - you can rely on us not only for industry-leading reliability (there's no one better), but for a great exhibition too.
We'll tell you more about us at the exhibition.
