Robin Butler Engineering Ltd. also has a specialist department that concentrates on the design and construction of weld fixtures and tooling for fabrication. Our welders are qualified to BS EN 287 - 1:1992
We can receive your CAD information by email and feed it directly into our CAD/CAM package for quick results.
Welding: M.I.G., T.I.G., Arc, Gas, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium - welders approved to BS EN 287 - 1:1992
Laser cutting up to 15 mm mild steel on 3000 x 1500 mm bed.
Plasma Cutting: Esprit CNC Plasma cutter 3100mm x 1550mm up to 40mm thick - complete with DNC link from our programming station. (We can use our internal CAD/CAM system to transfer your CAD files direct to our CAD system )
Gas Profiling and Water jet cuttting can also be provided with support of our 2nd tier suppliers as part of a project
Shearing: Up to 3000mm x 6mm thick on CNC guillotine
Folding: CNC multi-axis up to 4000mm x 6mm thick (press-brake)
Presses: 60 tonnes capacity (single ram hydraulic)
Turning: CNC up to 2032mm (80') long x Ø 17' over the bed
Milling: CNC mill 800mm horizontal travel and conventional turret mill 48' x 9' bed, c/w 90° facing head
Rolling: Up to 2500mm wide x 10mm thick
Drilling: Various up to Ø 60mm (Radial arm, Sensitive and Pillar)
Sawing: Up to Ø 250mm (10')
Shot blasting of mild steel parts - large 4m x 4m x 9m capacity
Finishing: Our paint facility has a large, 30 square metre, water-backed Binks booth, using conventional spray equipment. We spray both one pack alkyds and two pack epoxies etc. Our two pack paint is isocyanate free.
Assembly: Your assembly and test requirements, including hydraulics and pneumatics, can also be undertaken. We have facilities to make up hydraulic pipes to your requirements (some electrical installation is also undertaken if required for a project.)
Site facilities: We can call on a trusted local 3rd party company, if you need a competent and experienced site team.
