Spending £250,000 a year on subcontract machining services, this company is currently seeking a supplier to grind a free-issue spun form component on their behalf. Ideally, they require the chosen supplier to grind the surface of the part until defects are no longer visible, before measuring the remaining thickness of the material; however, they have advised that the measuring can be carried out by a third party if necessary. As well as having an immediate order to place for 1 off, the client has advised that there is scope for a further 8 off to follow if the project is successful.

    Machining-Turning, Low Volume

The attached set of bolts are required for use within an industrial machinery application. The client - a fabrication company who spends £85,000 per year on bespoke machined parts - requires quotes for 1, 5 and 20 off sets, which are to be machined from titanium in accordance with the drawings provided. This is currently a one-off requirement, although there could be scope for the work to be repeated on an ad-hoc basis in future.
