  1. Drawings count: 3

    Machining-Machining, High Precision

With an annual spend of over £30,000 on subcontract machining, this company seeks a new supplier to manufacture these parts, leading to regular orders of these and similar designs going forward. For this initial enquiry, they are looking for 2 sets of 4 off (8 off in total) high precision machined jaws, and 1 off mount scroll, complete with 176 teeth, which will also suit members with high precision gear cutting capabilities. The client is outsourcing this work as a result of a change in business strategy. Accuracy of tolerances, quality and value of all these parts is critical, and once a new supplier is found, this will lead to regular, repeat orders for these sizes and for different sizes as well, therefore it will make an ideal opportunity for those seeking a new client for a long-term relationship.

  2. Drawings count: 1

    Machining-CNC Machining, Low Volume

This buyer, a manufacturer of electric motors and generators, has an immediate order to place for a carbon steel stator frame. Sheet Metal Forming-General Sheet Metal (2mm to 6mm)

This agricultural machinery manufacturer, who outsources approximately £100,000 worth of fabrication a year, currently has an urgent requirement for the attached large sheet metal part which requires cutting and folding only. With an immediate order to place, this is a one-off requirement, although may lead to additional, similar work for the chosen supplier in future.

  6. Drawings count: 1

    Machining-Drilling

Slotting and drilling holes into angles is needed, on behalf of a buyer with a yearly spend of £50,000 in the subcontract machining arena. They are looking for a supplier that has the necessary accreditation, who can offer a quick turnaround on the parts in question. Companies that meet this criteria and have the capacity to undertake the work are asked to get in touch with the buyer at their earliest opportunity, quoting their best price and earliest delivery.

  7. Drawings count: 1

    Profiling-Laser Cutting

A selection of carbon steel angles are required, on behalf of a company that specialises in the manufacture of steel products for the retail industry. They would like to hear from companies that are able to offer these designs at good value, for use within an on-site project. With a £350,000 annual spend in this arena, the buyer may also choose to utilise the services of the successful supplier within additional, similar projects moving forward.

  8. Drawings count: 2

    Machining-Turning, Low Volume

This metal spinning manufacturer, who outsources approximately £250,000 worth of fabrication work a year, has been let down by an existing supplier and now has an urgent requirement for the turning and tapping of free-issued steel billets. Although this is a one-off requirement, this could lead to ongoing work of a similar nature for the chosen supplier, once quality and reliability have been proven. Qimtek members are asked to make contact with the buyer directly in order to be considered for this enquiry, which may be awarded early if the right supplier is found.

  9. Drawings count: 3

    Fabrication-Light Fabrication (under a tonne)

This buyer, a manufacturer of conveyor equipment who spends over £500,000 a year on subcontract fabrication, seeks a supplier to produce the attached pallet framework. This is a new design, which requires cutting, welding and a small selection of finishing processes. The ideal supplier will be able to complete all aspects of this enquiry in a professional, cost-effective manner. 10. Drawings count: 1

    Machining-Turning, Low Volume

This manufacturer of safety products for the automotive sector seeks a supplier to produce the attached items from free-issue EN355+N steel. This project calls for the material to be turned to the correct OD and cut to length. Interested companies are asked to make contact at their earliest convenience, as the buyer has an immediate order to place for this work. There is potential for this to become an ongoing requirement, making it an opportunity to fill both short and long-term capacity

  11. Drawings count: 2

    Machining-Turning, Medium Volume

Machining of carbon steel plate compactors is required, on behalf of a company that outsources over £100,000 worth of machining work every year. The most important aspects for this company are flexibility and reliability, in order to manufacture the attached mild steel lifting tubes with emphasis on a high-quality, durable end product. Ideally, they are keen to hear from suppliers who are situated within a 50 mile radius. There is an order to place with the chosen supplier, who can fulfil all of the above.

  12. Drawings count: 2

    Fabrication-Pipework

This client is looking for a new supplier to assist with regular carbon steel pipework. The quotations required for this enquiry shows two example sizes of pipe, but when the client is ready to place orders, there will be several different diameters and lengths of pipework required on an ongoing basis. Price, delivery, lead times and quality are all vitally important to this company and once a relationship is established, regular work will be requested.

  13. Drawings count: 1

    Profiling-Laser Cutting

This client, who operates within the electronics industry, seeks a supplier to manufacture the attached carbon steel profile. 19. Drawings count: 1

    Fabrication-Fabrication with Machining

This project is compiled of several parts which - when assembled - will create a chainsaw guard. There are many fabrication and machining processes required to manufacture this full request - the client has also confirmed that if welding capabilities are not available, the supplier is to state this within their quotation, as the client can weld the parts together if needed. The client is over capacity and therefore, they are looking for a new supplier to manufacture these components on their behalf. The ideal supplier will be able to manufacture these designs economically with a quality finish, within a 3-4 week lead time. This will lead to ongoing work, once the initial request of 10 off assemblies is completed.

  20. Drawings count: 1

    Machining-Machining, Large 1m Plus

This client is looking for a new supplier to manufacture the attached pre-splined centre pinion. The pinion is to be peeled, stress-relieved, then ground to a high tolerance finish. The client welcomes quotes using all of these processes, but if not all processes can be completed, suppliers are still invited to quote and confirm which of these processes are included. Once the first 3 off pinions at 3000mm are completed and signed off, this can lead to ongoing work of approximately 30 off per year. ADDITIONAL: The client has confirmed they are happy to accept smaller lengths of 10 off at 1150mm lengths instead of 3 off at 3000mm lengths. Please confirm the length you are submitting within your quote.
