  1. Drawings count: 2

This company outsources over £50,000 of forging work per year and is looking for quotes for 3000 off of the attached H-piece, which will be called off in 3 separate orders of 1000 each throughout the year. This is because the current supplier will soon no longer be making these parts, so a new supplier needs to be found. Made from carbon steel, the hot forging process is required, along with a zinc finish. Pricing and quality is of utmost importance for this enquiry and will lead to repeat orders due to the annual requirements involved. This volume has also been estimated to increase due to client demand, so will lead to higher annual quantities going forward, although the actual number has not been confirmed at this time.

  2. Drawings count: 1

This company, a manufacturer of thermal process equipment, seeks a new supplier to manufacture the attached tie bar. This is to be made from 316 bar, which must be flattened at one end and thread cut at the opposite end. There is an immediate order to place for this enquiry, with ongoing batches of 72 off required on a yearly basis. This enquiry is best-suited to those who can offer both quality manufacture and cost-effective pricing.

  3. Drawings count: 1

Outsourcing casting work to the tune of £60k every year, this company is currently seeking a supplier who can manufacture the attached aluminium forged rings. The buyer is requesting a quotation now but will have an order ready to place shortly with repeatable batches of 5 off each time. Those that are interested in being considered for this job using either ring rolling or forging processes are asked to make contact with the buyer directly to discuss; in addition, this could result in further opportunities once quality and reliability have been proven.

  4. Drawings count: 2

The attached aluminium components are sought on an ongoing basis, by a manufacture of high-end consumer products. Having previously been machined from solid, the client would now like to explore alternative methods of manufacture in a bid to reduce the overall cost. If alternative methods are more appropriate, the client will place an initial order of 500, which will be followed by a further order of 2500 over the rest of the year.

  5. Drawings count: 11

Suppliers with forging capabilities are asked to provide a quotation for the attached set of parts. All of these items are to be made from aluminium alloy in accordance with the CAD drawings provided. The client has an immediate order to place for the prototypes of these parts, with quantities ranging from 35 to 260 off needed across the set.

  6. Drawings count: 2

This company is a manufacturer of cable and wire products. They currently seek quotes for the attached set of parts to be cold formed, in a bid to reduce the resulting waste. This enquiry is part of a larger job for which the client is currently tendering and if successful, this will be an ongoing requirement with repeat work available for the supplier they select. As they spend £140,000 per year across all subcontract engineering processes, there could also be scope to develop the relationship and assist within additional projects.

  7. Drawings count: 2

The attached components have previously been manufactured overseas; however, the client is now keen to return production to the UK. These are to be produced via cold forming, with quotes required on price breaks ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 off. Interested suppliers are asked to quote their best price and lead time in order to be considered for the project, for which there is an immediate order to place.
