How many suppliers are quoting each project?

Every project is different but on average, our buyers are receiving just 2.8 quotes per project. And how do we know this? When opening a project for the first time, members are asked to indicate their interest. This lets the buyer see who is potentially going to call and quote.

Once the project has been discussed and a quote submitted, the member will indicate this online. This helps Qimtek keep a track of how many quotes have been sent to the buyer.

Why is the membership for an initial 12 months?

Be honest.. it takes time to secure new business. You need to win the contract, manufacture the parts, pass quality and get paid before you can call a company a client. You then need generate repeat and additional work to call them customers.

"Realistically, it can take anywhere between a few months to a few years to build long-term relationships. We have been successful over the years and have many new and returning customers." Kathy, Herve Engineering Limited
