Sulzer Pumps (UK) Ltd has been awarded a multi million Euro order to supply 20 HPDM main pipeline pumps with electric motors rated at 14.5 MW each, 6 VCR vertical booster pumps and 11 VCR vertical loading pumps for the first phase of the strategically important Eastern Siberia To Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline. This project is a key infrastructure investment by JSC 'AK 'Transneft' to transport crude oil to the Eastern markets and permit the economic development of Eastern Siberia and the Far East of Russia.

The products are world-wide acclaimed and as a brand they have little to prove and Airfix models are still in good demand. Alstom to supply Air Quality Control Systems to waste-to-energy plant in us

14 March 2007 - Alstom, in consortium with Crowder Construction Company, has been awarded a contract by Covanta Hillsborough Inc. to supply air quality control systems for the expansion of Hillsborough County, Florida s resource recovery facility located near Tampa, Florida.
Alstom will supply a spray dryer absorber for acid gas control including sulphur dioxide and hydrochloric acid, and a fabric filter for particulate removal, in addition to associated equipment. Crowder Construction will be responsible for erection. -
Lufthansa Places Firm Order for 15 Bombardier CRJ900 Jets

Toronto, May 15, 2007 - Approval from Lufthansa Supervisory Board to Place Order Announced on April 17, 2007. Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Deutsche Lufthansa AG has signed a firm order for 15 CRJ900 regional jets. In a press release issued on April 17, 2007, Lufthansa confirmed that its Supervisory Board had approved the placement of this order. Lufthansa has also taken purchase rights on 15 additional aircraft.
The value of the firm orders, based on the list price of the CRJ900 aircraft, is approximately $584 million US.

The FT reported today that manufacturing in the UK rebounded from a weak start to the year, expanding in March at its fastest monthly pace in 10 months.
The Office for National Statistics said that manufacturing output, which makes up about 15 per cent of UK gross domestic product, rose by 0.6 per cent between February and March. This was the sharpest increase since May 2006 and was the result of an improvement across most manufacturing sectors, particularly machinery and equipment, which climbed by 1.2 per cent.-

JIM McColl, the chairman and chief executive of Clyde Blowers, confirmed last night that he had completed the £45 million purchase of Weir Pumps in Glasgow.
Up to 600 jobs have been saved after one of Scotland's richest men bought the historic pump business where he started his career. Many of the Weir Pumps staff had been expecting to be made redundant within the next two years as a result of a deal with Sulzer that fell through. -
