G&P provides quality management to manufacturing companies across the globe, delivering  inspection, rectification, technical and recruitment services. It works alongside OEMs and their tiered suppliers to increase quality levels, efficiency, profitability and to protect their reputations.

Although G&P has historically supported the automotive industry, it has successfully diversified into the aerospace sector to ensure optimum levels of quality are achieved. This is underpinned by G&P’s three guiding principles to reflect the sector’s requirements – protect, define and implement.

Core to this is protecting build-lines from disruption and poor quality, while maximising their production effectiveness. This is achieved by defining the problem through measurement, analysis, audit and data. From this, G&P then works with clients to develop a permanent fix, to improve quality levels and drive problems back to root cause to ultimately eradicate them.

In addition to the above, G&P also supports the aerospace sector with supplier capability assessments, technical document vetting, supplier improvement activities, containment services, fault analysis imaging and reverse engineering.

G&P has expanded their service portfolio to adapt to the demands, challenges and legislation surrounding the Aerospace industry to successfully support clients. This includes assisting in the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) documentation process used throughout the industry. The FAIR report is generated to confirm a product conforms to the necessary quality standards required.

G&P has a range of FAIR services available and can be tailored to suit customer requirements, these include: vetting customer or supplier FAIRs on an ongoing basis; vetting customer or supplier FAIRs on a price per document basis; compiling FAIR packs on behalf of a customer or supplier; and delivering FAIR training services with aftercare support

These solutions can be provided on a full or part time basis and can be based at either the client’s site or at G&P’s Hub based in Derby.

G&P has recently delivered FAIR services on a supplier’s site, who currently produce products for a major aerospace OEM, to help clear their FAIR submission backlog. Within 2 months G&P improved the RFT (Right First Time) FAIR submission approval from 2.6% to over 80% and completely cleared the backlog. This was a result of actively working with and training problem suppliers to reduce recurring errors and non-conformances so that the first FAIR submission would be approved. As part of the service, G&P provided real-time data analysis of errors, end-to-end process time and iterations to correction.
