Being able to deal directly with engineering buyers is critical for the work we do...
We joined Qimtek in December 2023, as the main industry we worked with was getting quiet, and we wanted to attract customers from other sectors. As specialists in full turnkey fabrication services, we’ve received plenty of emails with potential opportunities, but we focus on companies where we can build long-term relationships. Since joining, we’ve won a few orders, with two in particular that have the potential to become major clients - one in the special purpose machinery industry and the other in agriculture, both a world away from our usual work in retail. One of these projects could exceed £500K over the next 12 months. Being able to deal directly with engineering buyers is critical for the work we do, and Qimtek provides all the necessary information, including full contact details, so we can reach out directly. In fact, the potential major job we won was due to being able to speak with the buyer—without that connection, we would never have secured the order.
We've lost count of how many new customers we've gained...
We've been members of Qimtek since 2021, initially joining to diversify and win work from different sectors. Since then, we've lost count of how many new customers we've gained, probably more than two dozen. Some were one-off jobs, but a few have turned into long-term customers who continue to send us work today. The system is simple to use - just log into your email, see what's available to quote on, and contact the buyer directly if you're interested. Overall, Qimtek's lead service is a cost-effective way to keep us proactive with new business opportunities.
We didn’t expect results this fast...
We joined Qimtek in mid-August 2024, and we’ve already won two customers, with one of them placing additional orders. We’ve secured enough work to cover most of our subscription already, which is seriously impressive considering how quickly it’s happened. We didn’t expect results this fast, but Qimtek has exceeded our expectations. You do need to be prepared to receive leads and spend time quoting, but isn’t that the point of joining? Overall, we’re really pleased with the platform and looking forward to more opportunities.
We joined Qimtek all they way back in 2007...
With no sales team in place, we joined Qimtek all they way back in 2007 as it was a cost effective way of generating leads. Since then we have secured lots of initial orders and an estimated £5million worth of business directly. In the first two years, we picked up 2 new clients that, for the next six years, were the largest customers we had dealt with. The membership is very straight forward. You set your lead parameters; you receive relevant projects to quote on directly, then you convert them into sales. Qimtek has been a very good tool for RDL and I have spent the last few years recommending Qimtek to others – some of which are now members themselves.

We’ve been using Qimtek since 2020 to help generate more customers for our fabrication business, and it’s been instrumental in our growth. Through the platform, we have worked with several new customers that have placed about £150,000 of initial orders with us and some have led to additional business. Something worth mentioning is that we have also won ongoing work in the nuclear and the marine industry, where we manufactured four sets of spiral steel stairs worth around £65,000, with the potential for even more work in the future—both opportunities came directly from Qimtek leads. One of the things we appreciate most is the ability to cherry-pick projects that are the right fit for us. The quality of the leads has contributed significantly to our growth, allowing us to move into a larger unit and begin working towards ISO 9001 certification. It's opened doors in industries we never would’ve considered...
We joined Qimtek back in 2022, hoping to find new clients and diversify our work across different industries. The platform is easy to use. I just log in and browse potential jobs. It makes it simple to spot which opportunities we can take on and make a decision to quote or not. I also really appreciate dealing directly with the buyers right from the start as we have their full contact details and other information that helps identify if they fit our customer profile. Since I’ve been with Qimtek, we have got a footing in with about 15 new companies, and a few have / could turn into solid, long-term clients. It's opened doors in industries we never would’ve considered before, which was the whole point of joining.

We joined Qimtek in 2024 as a fairly new start-up, looking for a way to reach new customers since we didn’t have much sales experience and needed a bit of help. We are a small subcontract engineering shop in Leeds West Yorkshire specialising in Milling Turning and Fabrication work. We have been members of Qimtek for a few years now and already we have secured jobs from 27 different new clients, bringing in nearly £30,000 of initial business. This does not include the work we have been sent in directly to use or repeat orders (last updated in 2022). I would recommend Qimtek to anyone who was wishing to expand their business - Our work was mainly West Yorkshire based however the customers I have received from Qimtek are nationwide. We can only hope for ongoing success through Qimtek in the future.

We have been members of Qimtek a couple of times now and use them when we have gaps to fill or on a hunt to grow the business with new customers. We have won lots of orders that have turned into repeat business. This is a mix of different clients from a wide range of industries and they have gone onto place more than £250,000 of first orders with us. Whats even better, we are actually doing regular work for several of these companies now – cumulatively they are spending in excess of £150k per annum with us. The good thing about using Qimtek is that I receive the lead, knowing it has been fully qualified before I call and quote the buyer. I would highly recommend Qimtek as a cost effective way of looking for new customers.
Secured 38 different customers who placed over £75,000...
As small business members, we are viewing only a quarter of the UK but we have secured 38 different customers who placed over £75,000 worth of initial orders. Some of these customers have then gone on to place business with us directly and have become some of our largest long-term clients. The membership gives us access to areas of the UK where we previously had no coverage. If you are looking to fill capacity and gain new customers then join, there are no downsides to the service. However, when quoting on projects, be realistic, be competitive but above all else be bold and success will soon follow. Thanks to our new customers, who have gone on to become key accounts, we have been able to continue their growth and success at an impressive rate.
Already won two orders from two different companies...
We've been members of Qimtek for just over five weeks and have already received nearly 80 projects to review. We're excited to have secured two orders from different companies, both of which have the potential to become long-term customers. As a small business, hiring a full-time salesperson isn't feasible, but we still needed to actively seek new business opportunities. Managing sales myself takes up too much time since I also need to focus on quoting and helping in the machine shop. Qimtek provides a cost-effective solution by delivering projects straight to my inbox, allowing me to quickly download drawings and buyer contact details with just a click, saving me valuable time.
Gives us that all important foot in the door...
We have been using Qimtek on and off for a number of years now. When we see a gap in our capacity or we are ready to grow the business again we tend to re-join. We really like the prequalified machining leads which helps us to find new people to speak to and gives us that all important foot in the door. What's great is that after just two weeks of being members again we have already won one job valued at more than the cost of membership from what looks like a decent potential long-term customer.

I joined Qimtek in January 2021 to increase my customer base after having to relocate my business. The aim was to secure work quickly and so far I've managed to secure 5 new customers which is above and beyond what I expected (updated in 2022). What I like best about Qimtek is the ease of use of the sales platform and being able to talk to someone if I need any advice. I'd happily recommend Qimtek to other companies.

We were very curious about Qimtek’s live lead service and decided to take the plunge and join the membership. We have successfully secured in excess of £170,000 worth of initial orders from around 50 new customers. Our favourite aspect of the membership is retaining control over the quoting process as it allows us to pick and choose the work we want to quote for and when, depending on our capacity constraints at that time.
Won 7 customers, some of which have already repeated...
As a new business we were looking at ways to find new clients to help us grow. The problem was that we didn't have the contacts to call but more importantly the time as we also needed to run our machine shop. After an initial demonstration of the Qimtek services we decided to give it try and I am pleased we did. We joined in August 21 and by October we have won 7 customers, some of which have already placed repeat and additional work with us (updated 2022). Qimtek is what it is, they find you leads, you log in to your account, download the drawings and speak to the buyers directly. I'd give them a 9 out of 10 for the qualification and information provided as it usually spot on, which helps us when quoting.

Qimtek’s membership provides us with a stream of enquiries, which ultimately allows us to pick and choose enquiries we can and want to quote on. We have been able to turn these initial orders into ongoing relationships. We have visited customers and customers have visited us. If you deliver their job correctly and on time, it’s onwards and upwards from there, and for that reason, I would recommend Qimtek to others.

We signed up to Qimtek one week ago, as we felt it would be beneficial in helping us to find new business. Within the first week, we had made contact with a client and manufactured some test bends. Having invested in some new machinery we were keen to find new leads for ongoing work. As a small company, the time and staffing element of finding new work was daunting and our success rate was low. Qimtek allows you access to the right people and gets your foot in the door, saving a lot of leg work! In our first 2 weeks of membership, we had a steady stream of quotations. Since joining the Qimtek membership in 2010, we have secured in excess of £275,000 worth of initial orders from over 40 different industry buyers – most of which has led to repeat business. We have moved into more profitable sectors and doubled our sales as a direct result of joining Qimtek. Competition can be tough sometimes, more so as Qimtek has grown, but we have formed several good relationships with buyers and continue to do so. Whilst I couldn’t put a timescale on this process - as each buyer works differently - we did pick up our first order after just a few months.

We they have successfully secured £90,000 worth of initial orders, many of which have gone on to place repeat orders. Qimtek is a very useful tool, which I use every day and particularly enjoy the varied opportunities to offer quotations to new and existing customers. However it is good to know that realistically, it can take anywhere between a few months to a few years to build long-term relationships. We have been successful over the years and have many new and returning customers.
Membership paid for itself in week 1...
We set ourselves a target to win orders and cover the cost of the membership in 3 months. We surprisingly achieved this by the end of week one and gained valuable new customer contact information. We spent months in 2018 trying to win work with one new customer, but could not get past the front door. Quoting via Qimtek allowed us to not only get the right contact information, but also win their projects and produce their parts.
