What we really liked was that the quotes come directly to us...
Qimtek has made the process of acquiring quotes from engineering suppliers easy for us. We just upload the drawings and specifications on their easy to use drag drop source system or email them to our sourcing account manager who then sends it onto relevant suppliers on our behalf. What we really liked was that the quotes come directly to us, reducing the time required to find a new supplier, especially for that urgent or difficult part. We have uploaded 2 projects in the past couple of weeks and the quotes came in quickly. We have found new suppliers have already placed the orders with them.

We’ve been using Qimtek to find new suppliers for urgent projects since 2018, and it’s been a great tool for us. Having used Qimtek's sourcing service for only a few months, I have already managed to find 3-4 quality long-term suppliers. I have a dedicated sourcing account manager who has saved me a lot of hassle by finding the right suppliers for me, generating quotes very quickly and saving me a few days' worth of work each time. Qimtek were even able to accommodate a NDA on a sensitive project. I simply requested to have the NDA in place and my sourcing account manager took care of the rest, ensuring that the agreement had been signed before drawings were released to individual suppliers. The service allows us to reduce the workload for our buying team by introducing them to new suppliers without the need for them trying to spend weeks sourcing for themselves. We just fire the details across to the team at Qimtek or upload them to the platform and wait for potential suppliers to get in contact with their offers. We use Qimtek for both our R&D projects as well as our main production. The additional time we save not having to worry about sourcing suppliers has allowed us to significantly reduce the development time of new lines and get them to market quicker. Qimtek offers a really good free service that keeps in touch with me when I need, and helps by sending information from possible suppliers, as well as finding additional suppliers (all within the UK) when my current supplier base can't manage the requirement. After having looked at similar services, the service offered by Qimtek is definitely the best in my opinion.

With or without the NDA, it's been successful everytime...
I have used Qimtek sourcing service several times, using a Non Disclosure Agreement and I must say, it works very effectively and does the job on sensitive projects. It saves us a lot of time as Qimtek collect the signed NDA's before releasing the drawings to potential suppliers to quote.
