These range from specialist levelling feet through digital shaft position indicators and digital-analogue position indicators to rod mounting systems for opto-sensors, cameras etc, hinges for access panels and flexible automation components such as conveyor feet, brackets for transfer conveyors. Many of these comprise stainless steel or plastic mouldings with smooth contour designs to facilitate easy cleaning, as well as to eliminate corrosion in aggressive environments.
Food processing machinery like most equipment needs position indicators and Elesa’s DD52R is an ultrasonically welded shaft mounted unit, offered with stainless steel bushings and clear digital readout ideal for this role. These lowered direct drive digital position indicators are mounted on 'passing-through' spindles in any position to give a direct reading of the positioning of a machine component. They are designed also for motor driven applications.
Similarly the GW12 digital-analogue gravity position indicators are completely sealed to IP67 offering an immediate digital position readout from the end of a shaft with analogue last digit dial.
The Elesa MSR.60 system of profile rod clamps is ideal for positioning small assemblies, e.g. for mounting of side guards on conveyors, mounting micro switches/stops, for camera mounts and positioning of accessory equipment on powered assembly lines or large machines.
The system features a standard length multi-splined aluminium profile of 13mm dia., linked with precision thermoplastic elements, including twin bolted base unit with tilt function and the possibility to mount in any orientation. Externally splined arms are linked by matching internally splined right angle clamps and four possible types of mounting flange for installation of equipment.
MSR.60 is a system unique to Elesa, with quick and simple assembly of the standard components. Each component locks or clamps into position to prevent mis-alignment and allow accurate positioning of instruments or other devices.
The system is constructed in aluminium profile with satin anodised finish and has bases, jointing pieces and mounting flanges in black, orange, grey, yellow, blue or red to suit the environment, e.g. to match existing equipment or decorative colour scheme.
The Elesa range of standard conveyor system components are aimed at making life easy for manufacturers of conveyor systems, transfer lines and specialist machines, the Flexible Automation Components package is ideal for processing and food packaging applications.
The range comprises high quality feet, connectors and guide rail brackets in glass reinforced technopolymer to suit industry standard tubes of 42mm (1¼'), 48mm (1½') and 60mm (2'). Finish is black for colour matching or contrast.
Feet are 2 or 3 legged, guide rail brackets are fixed or adjustable – other components include bearing heads, joint connectors and top brackets to enable complete systems or one off assemblies to be quickly and easily constructed.
The LMRS levelling feet from Elesa are manufactured in stainless steel (AISI 303/304) and designed to shed liquids downward. They are consequently excellent for levelling of equipment used in food processing, abattoirs and other hygiene sensitive applications.
The low sulphur content of materials used in the LMRS and design features such as convex base with sleeved bolt are particularly significant to the food industry. An adjustable sleeve covers the threaded stem, and other sharp edges and corners have been to a large extent avoided, thus increasing the efficiency of power cleaning measures in messy environments.
The base itself incorporates a vulcanised NBR rubber (perbunan) non-slip disc in a large area pad to spread weight and aid stability. LMRS levelling feet come in sizes from 60mm dia to 100mm dia with load carrying capacities of 21000N to 27000N. M16 to M24 studs are available.
The CMM-SST range of lay-on stainless steel hinges from Elesa is designed for use on doors, panels and cases in the food and pharmaceutical industries – where their corrosion resistance and easy-clean electro-polished finish will be much appreciated.
The ruggedly styled CMM-SST hinges come in 40mm to 60mm sizes, making them suitable for small enclosure doors and for large access panels or cabinet doors. Operation offers opening of 180º and up to 270º where installation permits. Fitment is quick and simple by means of countersunk headed machine screws.
