Efforts to boost UK innovation announced

Business Secretary, Sajid Javid, has celebrated the UK’s position as a global innovation leader as he announces a new national panel of expertise and a regional review of science capabilities.

The UK attracts as much overseas investment in R&D activity as nations such as Canada and China, and the introduction of the new panel is hoped to secure the leading position. Along with this, Science and Innovation Audits will also be put into place which will help local organisations map their research strengths and identify areas of possible global competitive advantage.
