The Sourcing Department:

The Sourcing Team is instrumental in liaising with and building relationships among Buyers, Purchasing Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other industry professionals to source project information and connect these projects with our UK-based Subcontract Manufacturing Members. They act as a pivotal link between our Suppliers and Buyers, aimed at helping buyers find suitable, long-term suppliers while facilitating direct engagement between both parties.

The Role of a Sourcing Telesales Executive:

As a Sourcing Telesales Executive at Qimtek, you will play a crucial role in connecting the dots in the UK manufacturing sector. This dynamic and multifaceted position requires not just exceptional time management and strong B2B experience, but also a proactive approach in initiating contact with buyers. Your primary task will be to actively reach out to buyers, introducing them to Qimtek and uncovering opportunities for our supplier members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Focus and Client Acquisition: Take charge of specific regions within the UK, with a goal to expand these regions by increasing the volume of buyers sending us projects from a variety of industries and processes.
     
  • Project Closure and Member Assistance: Play a pivotal role in the closure and awarding of projects, providing crucial support to members in securing work through the system, and fostering strong relationships with the Qimtek Membership and Production Departments.
     
  • Active Outreach: Commit to making/building a minimum of 80 contact attempts per day through calls, emails, Linkedin and other channels, with the aim of achieving weekly project targets.
     
  • Client Engagement: Engage in a mix of cold calls, warm calls, and regular customer calls, ensuring timely follow-ups and meticulous administrative work on each project.
     
  • Online Demos: Book and conduct online demos using platforms like Google Meetings or Zoom to effectively showcase Qimtek’s platform and its features to potential clients. This involves not only technical proficiency in using these tools but also the ability to present the platform in an engaging and informative manner.
     
  • Event Participation: This is not essential but should be willing to participate in exhibitions and shows as required throughout the year, which may include overnight travel. This involvement is key to expanding Qimtek's presence and network.

Key Tasks:

  • Generate a consistent flow of high-quality projects, follow up, and successfully close these projects.
     
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing contacts in the database.
     
  • Perform data maintenance on the database, ensuring accurate and updated information.
     
  • Engage in cold calling to expand Qimtek’s reach within your designated region.
     
  • Act as a conduit of information and support to Qimtek Members, influencing the types of projects required by suppliers.
     
  • Represent Qimtek at tradeshows

Key Performance Measures:

  • Meeting weekly targets in terms of project quantity, expansion through cold calling, data management, and maintaining a good company-to-project ratio.
     
  • Retention and growth of contacts.
     
  • Maximizing contacts and projects via various channels and contributing to team targets.
     
  • Taking responsibility to ensure your projects are awarded to suppliers

Key Experience Required:

  • Outbound telesales experience is essential.
     
  • Business-to-Business sales and relationship management experience with a proven track record in a target-driven environment.
     
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively.
     
  • Experience using LinkedIn
     
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
