The Sourcing Department:

The Sourcing Team is instrumental in liaising with and building relationships among Buyers, Purchasing Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other industry professionals to source project information and connect these projects with our UK-based Subcontract Manufacturing Members. They act as a pivotal link between our Suppliers and Buyers, aimed at helping buyers find suitable, long-term suppliers while facilitating direct engagement between both parties.

The Role of a Telesales Hunter:

In the vital role of Telesales New Business Hunter at Qimtek, you will spearhead the initial phase of our sales process. This dynamic and fast-paced position is perfect for a self-motivated individual with a flair for uncovering new business opportunities. Your main responsibility is to utilise our extensive database, along with tools like LinkedIn, to identify and engage potential clients within the UK manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively use Qimtek’s data resources and LinkedIn to find potential clients, introducing them to Qimtek and our innovative sourcing platform.
     
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospect and qualify leads, serving as the first point of contact in our sales process.
     
  • Effectively communicate the value of Qimtek’s services and prepare the groundwork for a senior account manager to demonstrate our system.
     
  • Persistently drive sales growth through proactive outreach and effective cold calling, while maintaining accurate records of all interactions and follow-ups.

Key Performance Measures:

  • Successfully meet and exceed daily and weekly targets for outbound calls, demonstrating a strong ability to engage and qualify potential leads.
     
  • Track and enhance the conversion rate of leads, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified prospects to the Sourcing Department.
     
  • Maintain a robust company-to-project ratio, showcasing effective lead generation and initial client engagement capabilities.

Key Experience Required:

  • A proven track record in telesales or outbound sales, particularly in lead generation and customer acquisition.
     
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.
     
  • Resilience and persistence, coupled with a goal-oriented mindset, are essential for success in this role.

Key Personal Characteristics:

  • Self-motivated and driven, with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
     
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing positively to our collaborative sales environment.

Advantageous Experience:

  • Experience in conducting online demos of services or products, showcasing an ability to engage clients virtually.
     
  • Experience in face-to-face sales or trade show presentations, indicating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with clients in various settings.
     
  • A background in engineering or manufacturing, or an understanding of these sectors, which would be highly beneficial in understanding client needs and effectively communicating Qimtek’s value proposition.
     
  • Knowledge of purchasing and sourcing processes, assisting in identifying client requirements and how Qimtek can fulfill them.
