Electromechanical assembly refers to the assembly of electronic components to create the required end product. It is usually performed on an assembly line, where different processes of the assembly are undertaken by individuals or teams, before being sent to the following individual or team for the next stage to be carried out. Assemblies usually consist of a range of components, including PCBs, cable harnesses, and switches. Once the components have been assembled correctly, the end result is a functioning electronic device. Electromechanical assembly is used within any number of industries including aerospace, automotive, consumer products and medical/scientific.
