Process: Engraving

Overview

Engraving is a process in which text or patterns are printed on different articles and components, usually on metal or glass surfaces.

There are several techniques to create the engraving, and the conventional method is by cutting with a tool. Nowadays more modern methods have emerged, such as laser engraving.

Engraving is one of the most effective methods to create a lasting print on components or products. Sometimes it is used to make products traceable long times in rough conditions, such as within the railway industry.

Machining-Engraving

Interesting and unique project which calls for the engraving of free-issue spoons, on behalf of a design house that currently do not have a supplier in place for this work. They are looking to collaborate with a company that can add text onto the spoons and has the capabilities to handle high-volume work. This may make this enquiry especially suited to those who are looking to fill future capacity and supplement their ongoing workload.
