EMKA at “Made in the Midlands Exhibition”, 20th June 2019, RICOH Arena, Coventry

EMKA (UK) Ltd and EMKA Profiles Ltd, both based in the Coventry-Birmingham area, are looking forward to promoting their UK-manufactured products at the RICOH Arena, Coventry on 20th June 2019 as part of the “Made in the Midlands Exhibition”.

EMKA Profiles Ltd specialise in the manufacture of spring steel inserted profiles which are a combination of edge protector with bonded sponge. These rubber profiles are a co-extrusion of solid and sponge rubber, which allows them a dual function as they cover sharp or unfinished edges and also offer a sealing function.

Their primary focus will be on Birmingham-made extruded sealing profiles for specialist enclosures, cabinets, vehicles, HVACR and other industrial sealing purposes. These standard and custom gasket sections – self-adhesive, channel mounted or edge mounted with a spring spine as with typical “P” sections, form an important part of equipping electrical housings, specialist vehicles and other industrial applications.

Profiles in EPDM, neoprene, PVC, black nitrate and natural rubber cover traditional expanded closed cell (self-adhesive) foam, through wiping blade and bubble or P type sections, with self-grip (clip-on), channel fixing and window type (with expansion insert), to more complex multi-functional and custom designs, perhaps with fillers or flocked weather strips and supported sections with internal or flange structural support.

This range includes EPDM, NBR, CR, PVC and silicone, as well as fire protection and hygiene specifications. Specialist considerations regarding shore hardness, tensile strength, recoil elasticity, abrasion resistance and climatic/chemical resistance can also be advised upon and allowed for in custom production.

Under their slogan of “everything but the enclosure” EMKA (UK) will also be showing their many locks, latches, hinges, swinghandles and related hardware. For example, their stainless-steel program for food and pharmaceutical industries, and their ranges for HVACR and for railway/transport applications. At the top end of the access management/protective hardware range comes the EMKA/Digitus Biometric locking program for protection and management of data centre storage devices in racks and cabinets.
