Big names head to Bilbao

Leading companies from the aerospace, automotive and capital goods sectors have already registered to visit Subcontratación 19.

The International Fair of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment will be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 4 to 6 June.

Visitors have already registered from aerospace companies including Aciturri, Aernnova, ITP and Bombardier. Capital goods sector visitors include Ampo, ArcelorMittal, Danobat and Soraluce, while the automotive industry is represented by EvoBus, Mercedes Benz Spain, Iveco Spain, Volkswagen-Seat Group and Gestamp Group. The energy sector will also be present, represented by Gamesa Energy Transmission.

A large delegation is visiting from Portugal, as the three Portuguese metallurgy and electromechanics associations, AIMMAP, ANEME and AIDA, have joined forces to attend the event. As well as Portugal, international visitors will come from Germany, France, Italy, Austria, India and the United Kingdom, among others.

35% of companies are attending for the first time, while research among exhibitors from the previous event showed that 68% of exhibitors met potential new clients, 53% received orders on the spot, and 52% started new commercial projects.

The 18th European Industrial Subcontracting Meeting will be held alongside the show, as will the second edition of Polveri & ecoCoating – an exhibition and programme of keynote speeches covering technology and innovation for the surface coatings and treatments sector.

Subcontratación is co-located with six other trade fairs covering additive manufacturing, digital technologies, used machinery, industrial tools, maintenance and pumps and valves.
