UK precision casting and machining group Expromet Technologies Group has acquired NC Precision, a manufacturer of precision components specialising in CNC sliding head machining and miniature machining for a wide range of industry sectors.
NC Precision is based in Chard, Somerset, just a few miles from Expromet group company Metaltech Precision, which manufactures high precision CNC turned, CNC milled and fabricated assemblies, and was acquired by the group in 2021.
The company says the acquisition represents a further step in the development of Expromet as a leading group of advanced precision casting and machining businesses, delivering engineering solutions for performance-critical applications.

Expromet Technologies Group is a privately-owned precision engineering group. The group also includes Investacast, a leading global supplier of investment castings, pressure die castings and forgings with a manufacturing base in Ilfracombe, Devon and Haworth Castings, a specialist in manufacturing fully-tested, machined and finished sand and gravity die castings located in Romsey and Basingstoke, Hampshire.
As the group continues to grow and expand its capabilities, it has recently appointed Robert Williams as Group Business Development Manager to act as a key link with customers.
