Conformal coating capabilities

Jaltek has announced a major investment to boost its conformal coating capability, unveiling a suite of advanced equipment from Nordson Asymtek, Asys and Exelsius.

This strategic upgrade aims to reinforce the company's manufacturing infrastructure and ensure it remains equipped to meet the ever-evolving demands of its customers in high-reliability industries.

Central to the new developments is the Nordson Asymtek SL940 Conformal Coating System, which comes fully configured with three specialised valves: the SC400 Prime Valve for precise, detailed coating applications; the SC280 Film Coater for broad, uniform coverage; and the DV-05 Syringe Valve designed specifically for gelling tasks.

The system also boasts a dual recirculating coating feature, enabling two coating materials to be loaded and primed at once. This innovation streamlines the changeover process, resulting in faster, cleaner transitions and reduced downtime — a practical improvement that benefits customers requiring flexible and responsive production.

In addition, Jaltek has invested in further equipment to fully optimise its coating line, including the Asys BLO 01 Loading Station and the Asys BCO 03 Triple-Drive Conveyor for post-coat inspection.

Jaltek’s Managing Director, Steve Pittom said: “This upgrade allows us to increase both the capacity and versatility of our conformal coating process. It gives our customers greater confidence in turnaround times, consistency, and the ability to handle a wider range of coating materials. It’s an important step forward as we continue to support increasingly complex and high-reliability electronics.”

The new coating line is now in place and will be fully operational in early 2026.
