Ricardo has recognised Titan as component supplier of the Year for its Shoreham high performance engine assembly plant.
Titan, which supplies valvetrain and auxiliary systems components, was selected as high performance engine components supplier for its 100% throughout 2017.
With its recently expanded production running at the equivalent annual output of 5,000 high performance engines – and with over 15,000 produced to date – Ricardo’s performance products team cares passionately about quality. It also recognizes that any successful, state-of-the-art manufacturing operation needs a supply chain of equally focused partners, each sharing the same focus on performance, quality and delivery.
Ricardo’s engine manufacturing business is the focus of a global supply chain and comprising over 85 suppliers across three continents. In 2017, Ricardo performance products hosted its first supply chain and client customer workshops, focusing on disseminating best practice in terms of continuous improvement and supply chain development for performance and niche engine manufacture. In addition, it has now established the Ricardo Supplier of the Year award, provided to the partner providing the highest quality of service in the preceding year.
The recipient of the 2017 award is Titan Ltd, a UK-based supplier of high performance engine components, that succeeded in achieving 100 percent on time and in full delivery throughout a year in which engine production broke previous records. The award was presented by Ricardo head of engine operations Steve Milton to Titan MD George Lendrum.
