Defying the Covid pandemic, a new cohort of apprentices have started their Metal Casting, Foundry and Patternmaking Level 3 training with Foundry Training Services Ltd (FTSL).

FTSL staff and the Dudley College Business Development team have worked hard on the recruitment, enrolment and delivery to the new cohort, all of which has been carried out remotely.

Michala French, Training and Quality Manager at FTSL, said: “The pandemic has affected us all in so many ways and placed many restrictions upon us. People feel uncertain about the future and, for many, training has been the last thing to think about.

“This certainly hasn’t been the case for all employers and we were very pleased to welcome cohort 4 of our Metal Casting, Foundry and Patternmaking Level 3 Apprenticeship trainees in January 2021.”

FTSL continues to offer its services using an online delivery model – not just on apprenticeships, but also on its Diploma, short course and bespoke training programs.

FTSL was created to offer training to the foundry industry from the foundry industry. If you are interested in any of the courses it offers please contact: [email protected]
