UK manufacturer of lightweight composite structures and GRP mouldings Norco Holdings will promote its services to the defence sector at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) event in September.

The company said it has chosen to exhibit at DSEI for the first time as a result of significant growth in its activities within the defence and security sector.

Mark Northey, managing director of Norco Holdings, said: “We fully understand the importance of having a presence at DSEI, with many of our current and potential customers either exhibiting or planning on visiting the event. The defence and security sector offers us significant opportunities as key properties of reduced weight and lower cost impact on buyer decisions. Our recent experience on diverse projects including UAV's, Naval work boats and simulators ensure we can offer customers world-class expertise in their composite requirements and we look forward to demonstrating this at DSEI this year.”

Norco manufactures satellite dishes and radomes using prepreg materials, combining low loss skin and core materials with its manufacturing and painting techniques developed in-house, to help minimise transmission losses.

Norco has also pioneered in-mould surfacing solutions to improve reflectivity at frequencies above 8GHz and manufactures UAV's and flight simulators for the aerospace industry.

DSEI runs from 12-15 September at ExCel London. The show will have five key sector-focused zones: air, land, naval, security and joint.
