Full service sheet metalwork manufacturer, Malton Laser, has become one of the first businesses in the UK to achieve certification under the latest ISO Standard for Quality Management (9001:2015) from the United Registrar of Systems (URS).

Malton Laser said its team has worked closely with a URS-accredited auditor to develop a series of streamlined, efficient processes and procedures, which help to keep risks at a minimum – a major focus of the 9001:2015.

It stated that it has introduced a new, easy-to-monitor business plan, which details Malton Laser’s goals and objectives for the coming 12 months, allowing the company to oversee its progress and ensure it is on target to achieve its objectives.

Charles Corner, managing director at Malton Laser, commented: “We’re always looking for ways to improve and enhance our internal processes and have been accredited under various versions of the ISO 9001 certification since 2001.

“This commitment to adhering to ISO standards over 16 consecutive years demonstrates to our customers that we’re dedicated to providing consistently high standards of service.

“I’m really proud of the team for achieving the ISO standard 9001:2015 accreditation, especially since we’re one of the first companies in the UK to do so. We’ll be pulling together over the next couple of months to set up the new system and ensure it runs efficiently and effectively when it comes to measuring our performance. In the long run, I believe this new process of working will be hugely beneficial for Malton Laser and will most definitely assist us in achieving our growth objectives.”
