More start-ups get their big chance

Advanced Engineering is set to extend its Enabling Innovation hub initiative for 2017, following success at last year’s show.

With help from Magna International, there are plans to double the number of innovative SMEs that attend the hub.

Up to 50 carefully-selected SMEs and innovators will now be given the opportunity to exhibit within the Enabling Innovation hub area, with all the exposure they can expect to receive from being part of the UK’s largest gathering of advanced engineering professionals which last year attracted more than 13,000 visitors.

Alison Willis, industrial divisional director at Easyfairs said: “We’re thrilled that Advanced Engineering’s Enabling Innovation hub will provide a chance-in-a-lifetime opportunity for even more of the UK’s most exciting trailblazers to meet potential partners, investors and buyers from some of the most vital engineering and technology sectors.”

He added: “Enjoying such great support from a player as important as Magna International, has been instrumental in making this showcase the UK’s most important forum for commercialising innovations in engineering and high value manufacturing, with applications spanning aerospace, automotive, rail, civil and beyond.”

Held this year on the 1-2 of November at the NEC, Birmingham, Advanced Engineering integrates multiple show exhibit zones with the UK’s largest free-to-attend engineering conference programme.

The show spans key sectors including aerospace; automotive; motorsport; marine, civil engineering, and more. It also includes over 700 exhibitors and more than 170 speakers, delivering sessions from six purpose built auditoriums at the show.
