Nick Groom, Managing Director of Hertford-based Qualiturn Products Ltd is the new President of the British Turned Parts Manufacturers Association (BTMA).

He took over the role from Phil Smith of Wealdpark at the turned parts manufacturers association AGM on Friday 16 November at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool following the end of Phil’s two-year term.

Nick is a long-standing member of the BTMA. He has been vice president to Phil Smith for the last two years and has a lot of experience as a member of the BTMA Officers Committee.

Nick is also a strong supporter of the BTMA's involvement in the Syndicate International Décolletage (SID), the international group of turned part trade associations.

He will be building on the work of Phil Smith to make the BTMA an active part of the SID during his period as BTMA President.
