Oldham Engineering and its Sheffield Technology operations have been acquired by ASDAM, a sovereign defence and advanced manufacturing and sustainment group.
Established in 1861, Oldham Engineering is a UK-based leader in precision engineering and turnkey project management. Oldham Engineering provides in-house engineering design services, Coded Fabrication, Medium-Heavy CNC Machining, and Complex Assembly & Testing for sectors like defence, nuclear, and industrial manufacturing. Its Sheffield Technology UK site, specialises in advanced laser processing and fabrication services.
Under ASDAM’s ownership, Oldham Engineering will benefit from strengthened investment, enhanced international capability, and deeper alignment with global defence and advanced manufacturing programs. The move reinforces ASDAM’s strategic commitment to expanding its footprint in the UK and supporting critical sovereign industrial capability.

The integration process is already underway, with both organisations working closely to ensure a smooth transition for employees, customers and partners.
Sheffield Technology has in-house capabilities for bespoke and batch fabrications, with facilities to laser cut material 6m x 2m and up to 60mm thick.
It applies exacting standards to single orders for one-off laser-cut components or complex assemblies. It can provide full build-to-print work packages comprising high-integrity fabrication, machining, assembly, inspection and testing services, supported by project engineering, quality, commercial management, planning and administration.
As part of ASDAM, Sheffield Technology benefits from additional investment, global capability and alignment with international defence and advanced manufacturing programs, enabling it to continue growing while maintaining its engineering heritage and high standards of service.
