A Yorkshire based spring manufacturer and supplier is expanding and relocating to a new purpose built facility in Huddersfield.
European Springs & Pressings Ltd is relocating as a direct result of significant expansion over the past decade, in order to increase capacity even further and capitalise in on the efficiency of better transportation links.
Michael Gibbs, managing director of European Springs & Pressings, said: “This development is very exciting for the organisation. Leaner logistics and increased storage facilities now ensures long-term competitiveness for our customers.”
He pointed out that up until now, the firm has had to import a number of its gas and standard stock springs from its parent company’s factories in Europe because space restrictions made it difficult to store its 12,000+ lines of catalogue products.
“Our new increased storage capacity will allow us to import larger volumes and hold an enhanced stock range, therefore decreasing the timeframe from order to delivery and dramatically reducing the associated costs. As a result we will soon be able to offer a 24hr delivery service and these cost savings will be passed directly on to our customers,” added Mr Gibbs.
Incorporating all previous operations under one specialist roof also offers greater expansion opportunities in to new markets, he explained.
“The new facility at Spring Moor in Huddersfield is a perfect destination and we look forward to quickly establishing ourselves in the community and contributing to its economic success.”
The new site at Spring Moor, Huddersfield will be live from June 2017 and fully operational from August 2017
