Centaur Media has put the annual Subcon subcontracting show, along with the rest of its events division, up for sale.
The London-based plc has appointed Cavendish Corporate Finance as advisers for the sale.
As well as Subcon, the Advanced Manufacturing Show and the Engineer Expo, the events division includes the Business Travel Show, The Meetings Show and Employee Benefits.
The company is also planning to sell its financial services division, which includes Money Marketing, Mortgage Strategy, Platforum, Taxbriefs and Headline Money, as well as The Lawyer.
Centaur now describes itself as a provider of market intelligence and specialist consultancy.
Andria Vidler, Chief Executive, said that the company’s strategy was to create a more focused business with good opportunities to grow its revenues and margins.
She said: “We will work with our advisers to explore divestment possibilities and ensure that shareholder value is maximised."
