FSL Aerospace, a specialist supplier of fasteners and fixings, has a recognised supplier performance with a new awards programme that aims to improve the service it offers.

Suppliers are ranked gold, silver or bronze depending on performance against four set criteria:  delivery time, right first time, response within 24 hours to a progress request and order acknowledgement time – which is expected to be within 48 hours.

The results from these criteria are reviewed quarterly and annually, improving the relationships between FSL and its suppliers. By working closely with each other, FSL aim to improve current performance, producing a more efficient and effective service for their customers.

This year saw one gold award winner, with 20 companies achieving silver and two claiming a bronze.

Nicola Woodley, Purchasing Manager of FSL Aerospace, says “With consistent growth over the last 5 years, creating strong and reliable relationships with suppliers contributes to the efficiency and highly effective operations here at FSL. It’s fantastic to see so many of our suppliers fulfilling and exceeding the performance criteria. This shows that behind every successful business, are reliable and quality suppliers. I look forward to building on these relationships in 2018.”

FSL Aerospace has been supplying manufacturers with fasteners, fixings and associated components since 1985 and has suppliers across the UK, Canada and the USA.
