APT Leicester is helping K-Tech cope with demand from the American market.

With more than 25 years of experience in the creation of world-leading motorcycle suspension kits, K-Tech has continued to outsource the production of mill-turned parts to APT Leicester. This support has proven vital as K-Tech has experienced a surge in demand from the American market in recent years.

The manufacturing partnership has gone from strength to strength, with APT having manufactured over 440,000 perfect components for K-Tech’s motorcycle suspension kits and systems to date. K-Tech have continued to build on its reputation for the creation of world-leading motorcycle suspensions, with levels of demand rising and remaining high in the wake of the pandemic.

The support of APT has proven vital, with the forecasting and supply of reasonably priced high-performance components in line with K-tech’s requirements. Orders have been grouped in batches for ease of production and delivery. Manufacturing parts with high levels of tolerance and accuracy, APT has impressed with its honest and personal service.

Oliver Hurst, Procurement Manager at K-Tech Suspension, said: “APT provides the whole package and their aerospace standard makes our job easier! Service and quality was not as good with other suppliers, but we couldn’t ask any more from APT. They have coped with the increased demand, providing a very personal service and quality parts.”

APT ensures the manufacture of all ordered parts in compliance with the AS9100 standard. From surface-finished end eye rod joiners, adjuster housings, spring guides, compression adjuster needles, rebound check valve collars, piston rods and flow control adjusters, each component is made with the same commitment to customer satisfaction.

K-Tech places each shock on a dyno testing, ensuring quality and performance for international racing competitors and the wider public. It has also turned to APT for support in the delivery of one-off parts for special builds featured across the range of race suspension kits.

“Our ability to forecast and secure material has allowed us to keep building parts for K-Tech. Committed to the highest standards, we look set to maintain our established relationship with K-Tech and are looking forward to new challenges together” explained Nick Baller, Managing Director of APT Leicester.

The partnership looks set to continue as K-tech keep to their mission of developing world-leading suspensions.
