Malton Laser has delivered six giant large stainless-steel hoppers that will be filled with molten chocolate to create sweet treats for supermarkets across the country.

The large metal vats each measure 1.5 metres wide by 1.6 metres high and sit in 2.2m high frames to dispense chocolate at one of Britain’s biggest listed food companies.

After drawing up the designs from a sample provided by the client using the latest CAD technology, Malton Laser cut the shapes required out of sheets of stainless steel using its advanced laser cutting machinery. These laser-cut panels were then pressed and rolled in Malton Laser’s press department, before being welded together to create the final form.

Charles Corner, managing director of Malton Laser, said: “This project was a really exciting one, as the chocolate hoppers we manufactured will be used to create products sold in the majority of UK supermarkets.

“We continually strive to create the highest-quality products at cost-effective prices, along with providing unrivalled service. As this project proves, we truly are a one-stop-shop for reliable, innovative sheet metalwork.”

Malton Laser specialises in providing a full sheet metalwork service, from laser cutting and pressing to fabricating, powder coating and assembly.
